Auto News for June 18 – Audi Official Arrested

Audi’s chief executive, Rupert Stadler, has been arrested in Germany in connection with the ongoing investigation regarding emission tests of diesel powered vehicles.

The BBC reported that officials in Munich said Stadler was detained because he might seek to suppress evidence in the case.

Last month, Audi said some A6 and A7 cars might have emission software issues.

Pricing will be released closer to the on sale date this fall.
