Detroit Auto Show Update
By Ron Amadon
The Chevrolet Bolt was named North American Car of the Year as the first Press Day at the Detroit Auto Show got underway.
The Bolt victory was not a surprise, nor was it a surprise that the Chrysler Pacifica was name Utility of the Year, the first time that such an award was presented. It topped the Jaguar F-PACE and the Mazda CX-9.
It was a surprise when the Honda Ridgeline was named Truck of the Year. It topped the Ford Super Duty in the voting of auto writers, as well as the Nissan Titan.
e Bolt defeated the Genesis G90 and the Volvo S90 for COY.
