The state of West Virginia is suing VW seeking a refund for customers for the premium they paid to acquire a diesel engine in their cars over the gas version. It is also asking the courts to approve civil penalties of $5,000 per violation according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail newspaper. State Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said consumers expected their cars to be “environmentally friendly…”

Honda announced a starting price of $23,595 for its hot selling CR-V for 2016 and a new trim model, the SE that will fit in just above the LX.

2015 Lancer Evolution Final Edition

Mitsubishi will offer a limited edition of its Lancer Evolution with a 2.0-liter four rated at 303 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. There will be Brembo brakes up front and Billstein shocks to the rear. A total of 1,600 of the “Final Edition” models will be sold here with a numbered plaque on the center console with the car’s production number. It will carry an MSRP of $37,995 with all-wheel drive and is based on the current GSR model but with numerous performance enhancements.


A rare 1916 Stutz Model 4C Bearcat Roadster that has won numerous awards for its authentic restoration will be up for auction later this month in Australia. The car is said to be “a formative open two-seater of the veteran era” and is considered “one of the best road-going Stutz to have been built.” Owner Hugh Guthrie bought the car from a junkyard and began a ground up restoration in two efforts over 63 years. It has a pre-sale estimate of $320,000 to $360,000.

A new study concludes that Miami has the least expensive rental car rates in the nation, an average of $20 a day. That compares to $65 in Philadelphia and $61 in New York City. The study was conducted by who pointed out that rates may change due to seasonal demand.
