Jaguar announced that a concept car, the V-X75, will be featured in the upcoming James Bond movie, “Spectre.” It will be involved in a “spectacular” car chase through Rome alongside the Aston Martin DB10. Modified Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Sport models will also be featured in the movie.

In the race for the most popular luxury brand, Audi moved to the top spot in worldwide sales in January for the first time since June 2014. Mercedes was second and BMW dropped from number one to number three.

The big Fiat Chrysler plant in Windsor, Ontario, will be shut down for 14 weeks starting next Saturday. The plant will undergo a $2-billion retooling for the next generation of minivans. If all goes according to plan, we will see that minivan at the Detroit show in 2016.

A survey conducted by AAA shows that one in three motorists have had a loved one who has been seriously injured or killed in an auto accident. Yet, many acknowledge they regularly exceed the speed limit, run red lights, use distractive devices or drive while drowsy. Two out of three drivers believe hands-free phone use is acceptable while “extensive research” indicates that hands-free devices lead to cognitive distraction, AAA said.
