Automotive News and the Detroit News report Cadillac will stop production at a Cadillac plant for three weeks due to weak demand. The Lansing, Michigan facility produces the ATS and CTS sedans. The newspaper said ATS sales are down more than 20 percent this year and CTS sale fell more than 29 percent last month. Production will stop August 18 and resume September 8.

More recalls at GM. The company is recalling more than 312,000 vehicles worldwide, with most of them 2002-04 Saturn Vues. For the year, GM has recalled almost 16.5 million cars worldwide.
