Thanks to what is called the 25 year rule, Florida’s Montu Motors claims it is the first company to import a 100% legal  Nissan Skyline GTR R32. A stipulation governing cars that do not meet various rules set down by EPA, DOT, and NHTSA says that any that are 25 years old or older are not required to abide by these regulations, Montu said. The R32 was an all-wheel drive high performance car first built in the late ‘80’s with a 2.6-liter twin-turbo inline 6 with 280 horsepower that captured five racing championships in Japan. In its home country, the car was known simply as Godzilla.

Chrysler will report on second quarter results on Thursday. Aug. 6.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company Glide

After tons of spy photos, gossip and speculation, Harley-Davidson has ended all that with the news that the Road Glide is back for the 2015 model. There will be a Road Glide and a Road Glide Special with both unveiled at the Sturgis Motorcycle rally in South Dakota. The Special will come with such goodies as a Boom! 6.5 GT infotainment system with touch screen and GPS, Reflex Linked Brakes with ABS and hand adjustable low profile rear suspension. No world on price from Harley but they will start appearing at dealers on the 26th.

BASF is out with a report on what automobile colors might be popular in 2018. They include La Gara Charrua – a light blue “reminiscent of the prairie space in middle America,” and “Haymaker, a rich orange that seems dirty, but upon a second glance sparkles much like the charm of a rusty factory in one of America’s Rust Belt cities.”  And there is a “Gray Elevator” that is said to be a dark silver.

Mary Kay is celebrating the 45th birthday of the pink Cadillac at its annual convention. Since the inception of the program back in 1969, nearly 22,000 pink Cadillacs have been awarded to top achievers in the company.
