Hybrid Cars.com reports that clean diesel car sales are up 25 percent during the first half of the year. It said consumers are embracing the benefits of clean diesel technology at a time when diesel fuel prices have trended upward. Diesel powered cars and trucks still make up only three percent of the overall market.
Stealing a page out of the old Saturn playbook, Mitsubishi will hold a party for its owners at the company’s HQ in Cypress, California. Thousands of owners are expected to attend the event on July 12th. The company will debut its “Concept XR-PHEV” plug-in hybrid electric crossover with a 1.1 liter turbocharged engine. To make sure no one gets tired, there will be free Red Bull samples.
