The Ford Escape, Edge and Explorer topped the National Insurance Crime Bureau’s list of the most stolen SUVs. They are followed by the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Kia Sorento. Overall, smaller crossovers experienced the most thefts, and the top five states for thefts were California, Florida, Michigan, Texas and New York. The combined New York City, Northern New Jersey-Long Island posted the most thefts among metropolitan areas.

Ford F-150

We should learn more tomorrow about Ford’s much talked about aluminum 2015 F-150. The company will deliver a detailed talk on the nations’ best-selling vehicle at a meeting of the Motor Press Guild in California. Ford said the truck has been tested from the desert to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, to the Colorado Rockies and up and down a mountain with a 30-degree slope.

In the last 11 fatigue inducing 24 hours of Le Mans races, Audi has now won 10 of them. The team of Macel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer stood tall in the winner’s circle Sunday. Another Audi finished second, with Toyota capturing the third and fourth spots
